last football game of the season

i may have already posted some (all??) of these, but to be honest, i'm too lazy to look through my posts to see. so, if i have, sorry for the repeat!

before the game, all decked out in their cheerleader gear. daddy-approved nanea outfit which mommy reluctantly purchased...however, LOVED kenken's. suited her perfectly, and she didn't complain a bit about not being just like sissy.

kenken decided to sit in sissy's lap...

...and sissy returned the favor

i do know i'm biased, however, isn't this the cutest ever??

can't be in loud places without our headphones. or our cliff bar-kids snacks.

busy, busy, busy

so, we've been busy. who isn't, right? between visitors, working, school, school interviews/assessments, (keeping track of) school paperwork/deadlines, completing 2010 taxes for school (can you see a pattern here?), there seems to have been little time for pictures and posting.

as of now, we have completed interviews, assessments, orientations for nanea's kindergarten options for next year. including placing a deposit and letter of intent for her current school in the event she doesn't get in, or we decide not to send her to any of the new schools we've applied for. does any of this sound crazy to anyone else, or is it just me? we'll find out results sometime in april, and then have to make a decision in may.

"california girls are unforgettable..."

makena and i continue to enjoy our tuesdays at home together. it's a mellow day with no obligations. in the pictures above, she came in to the kitchen to help feed nalu, and the sun was streaming in to the room. she immediately declared, "it's TOO light. i need my glasses!" and left the room. sure, enough, she comes back with sunglasses on, and proceeds to feed the dog. that's my california girl!
